At our faculty, International Women’s Day on March 8 was celebrated with a meaningful event attended by Vice Deans Dr. Hale Fulya Kaya and Dr. Ali Balkı, along with our female academic and administrative staff.
In her opening speech, Vice Dean Dr. Hale Fulya Kaya emphasized the value that female academics and administrative staff bring to our faculty. She highlighted that despite carrying many responsibilities, women perform their jobs with great success. Referring to the gender ratios in the departments, Dr. Kaya expressed her hope for a continued increase in the number of female staff in our faculty, particularly in administrative positions, thereby strengthening women’s representation.
Vice Dean Dr. Ali Balkı pointed out that the role of women in society is becoming increasingly valuable. Stating that any work involving women becomes even more beautiful, he described working with women as a privilege and expressed his gratitude for their contributions to our faculty.
Following the speeches, carnations were presented to our female staff, and the event continued with pleasant conversations among the participants.
