The council began with speeches by retiring faculty members Dr. Ali Rıza Kaymaz and Dr. Nurgül Barın, followed by a plaque presentation ceremony in their honor. After the retirement ceremony, Dean Prof. Dr. Gökhan Demirtaş gave a welcoming speech, touching on the management philosophy and the distribution of responsibilities within the faculty, as well as the goals for the upcoming period. He emphasized that one of the key objectives is to initiate accreditation processes in the faculty’s departments and concluded his speech by sharing information on the ongoing research and development activities within the faculty.
Vice Dean Dr. Ali Balkı took the floor to provide details on educational activities, addressing topics such as course assignments, the execution of classes, the implementation of exams, and exam accreditation. He also shared information about the educational performance metrics and the results of the academic advising satisfaction survey, and he concluded his speech by discussing the new student enrollments and occupancy rates in various departments for 2024.
Following Dr. Balkı, Vice Dean Dr. Hale Fulya Kaya provided insights into the faculty’s societal contribution efforts and discussed the activities conducted to celebrate the faculty’s 50th anniversary, as well as those planned for the upcoming term.
