A conference titled “The Dynamics of Second-Generation Transitions in Family Businesses” was organized by the Department of International Trade and Finance (UTF) of our faculty and held at the Sabri Bektöre Conference Hall.
The event was attended by our Dean Prof. Dr. Gökhan Demirtaş, Acting Director of GİKAM Dr. Koray Gürpınar, UTF faculty members, students, and guests. The keynote speaker, Mr. Emre Ak—Chairman of the Board at Aker Otobüs İşletmesi A.Ş. and a member of the TOBB Assembly—shared his insights on succession processes in family businesses, the importance of institutionalization, and his professional sectoral experiences.
The conference concluded with a highly engaged Q&A session, reflecting the great interest of the participants.
