Dean of our Faculty, Prof. Dr. Gökhan Demirtaş, was a guest on the Kampüs radio program broadcast on Gün FM.
During the program, Prof. Dr. Demirtaş provided information about the history of our Faculty, stating that it was founded in 1974 under the name Afyon School of Finance and Accounting and that in 1992 it formed the core of Afyon Kocatepe University, attaining its current institutional structure. He emphasized that with a history spanning over 50 years, the Faculty is one of the oldest higher education institutions in the TR33 region.
Noting that the Faculty has graduated more than 18,000 alumni to date, Prof. Dr. Demirtaş stated that education and training activities continue with six departments and seven programs, and highlighted that graduates have broad career opportunities in the public sector, private sector, and entrepreneurship.
Referring to social contribution activities, Prof. Dr. Demirtaş also noted that 75 events were organized within the Faculty in 2025, including career and entrepreneurship talks, conferences, seminars, and programs held with the participation of industry representatives.
