A training seminar titled “MASAK and Compliance Processes” was held under the moderation of Prof. Dr. İsa Sağbaş, a faculty member of the Department of Public Finance at our Faculty. The program attracted significant interest from certified public accountants, finance professionals, and public administrators.
The opening speech of the seminar was delivered by Erdal Sayar, President of the Afyonkarahisar Chamber of Certified Public Accountants. In his remarks, Sayar emphasized the increasing responsibilities of professionals in the fields of compliance, auditing, and combating financial crimes, highlighting the importance of continuously updating professional knowledge.
Haluk Özyürek, Head of the Audit Department in Konya, participated in the program as the trainer and provided comprehensive information on MASAK regulations, suspicious transaction reporting, and the supervised analysis processes carried out within the scope of the KURGAN system. Additionally, Volkan Kalfaoğlu, Deputy Head of the Konya Audit Department, delivered a presentation on the use of artificial intelligence and digital analysis tools in tax audits.
At the end of the seminar, plaques of appreciation were presented to the trainers who contributed to the program. The event concluded successfully with participants’ questions and discussions.
