Our Faculty’s Department of Political Science and Public Administration organized an online conference titled “The International Law Dimension of Humanitarian Aid to Gaza.”
The event, held at the Sabri Bektöre Conference Hall, was attended by Prof. Dr. Gökhan Demirtaş, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Fişne, Dean of Bolvadin Faculty of Applied Sciences and Head of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, along with academic staff and students.
At the conference, Dr. Şahin Eray Kırdım, faculty member at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Faculty of Political Sciences, delivered a presentation emphasizing that humanitarian aid must be carried out freely under international law, and stated that Israel’s blockade of Gaza violates international humanitarian law.
In their remarks, Prof. Dr. Gökhan Demirtaş and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Fişne drew attention to the ongoing human tragedy in Gaza, noting that students are witnessing a historically significant period.
