A seminar titled “The Role of KOSGEB in Entrepreneurship” was organized by our Faculty’s Department of International Trade and Finance (UTF) at the Prof. Dr. Sabri Bektöre Conference Hall. The event was attended by Vice Dean Dr. Hale Fulya Kaya, academic staff, and students.
KOSGEB Afyonkarahisar Provincial Director Murat Kahraman delivered a presentation highlighting the critical role of SMEs in Türkiye, noting that they constitute 99.77% of all enterprises, account for 78% of employment, and contribute 60% of exports. He also emphasized that KOSGEB has streamlined its support processes through digitalization, enabling applications via e-Government platforms.
Kahraman introduced various support programs for entrepreneurs, including financial assistance mechanisms and ecosystem-based supports such as TEKMER and SEGEM. He also explained that entrepreneurship training programs, available through e-Government, are essential for benefiting from KOSGEB supports.
