A seminar on “Effective Communication on the Career Path – I Speak, Therefore I Am!” was organized by our Faculty, the Department of Business Administration, and the Entrepreneurship and Career Club.
The seminar, held in the Sabri Bektöre Conference Hall and presented by Dr. Kadriye Işıklar, was attended by the Dean of our Faculty, Prof. Dr. Gökhan Demirtaş; the Head of the Business Administration Department, Prof. Dr. Hatice Özutku; academic and administrative staff, as well as students.
During the event, Dr. Kadriye Işıklar provided information on the role of communication in individual and corporate success, empathy-based communication methods, the transformation of communication skills in the digital age, and the importance of body language. Emphasizing that communication is not just about speaking, Işıklar stated, “Good communication builds trust, and trust is the foundation of both personal and professional relationships.” Işıklar conducted an interactive presentation with participants through case studies on effective listening, giving correct feedback, and conflict management. She also informed the attendees about the importance of emotional intelligence in communication, intra-team communication in business life, and the correct language of communication on social media.
The program concluded with the Dean of our Faculty, Prof. Dr. Gökhan Demirtaş, presenting a certificate of appreciation and a gift to Dr. Kadriye Işıklar, followed by a commemorative photo session.
