The 50th anniversary flag raising ceremony of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS) was held with the participation of Afyon Kocatepe University (AKU) Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karakaş.
At the ceremony, attendees included AKU Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karakaş, former Rector Prof. Dr. Halim Sözbilir, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Prof. Dr. Gökhan Demirtaş, as well as our Assistant Deans Asst. Prof. Dr. Hale Fulya Kaya and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Balkı, along with faculty members and students.
Dean Prof. Dr. Gökhan Demirtaş emphasized the importance of creating a more participatory future in the faculty during his opening speech at the ceremony. He highlighted the significant contributions of the faculty members and encouraged the students to actively engage in events and provide feedback. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the faculty, he expressed his joy and announced a series of upcoming events, starting with the flag raising ceremony.
Following the speeches, AKU Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karakaş and former AKU Rector and Faculty Member of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Prof. Dr. Halim Sözbilir hoisted the 50th anniversary flag together with the faculty members and students.
The ceremony ended after a dessert treat.
