As part of the 50th-anniversary events of Afyon Kocatepe University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, an online panel titled “The History of Higher Education and Faculties of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Turkey” was held on October 22, 2024. The panel was moderated by Dr. Şenol GÜNDOĞDU, a faculty member in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration.
The event featured two distinguished speakers: Prof. Dr. Bekir S. Gür from Hacettepe University and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alim Arlı from Marmara University. The panel explored the development of higher education in Turkey and the historical role of faculties of economics and administrative sciences.
The speakers shed light on significant transformation processes within academia, discussing the societal contributions of these faculties and their roles in the future. Following the presentations, an interactive Q&A session was held, fostering an engaging exchange of ideas with the audience.
