The motorcycle club AKÜ RIDERS, under the advisorship of Prof. Dr. Mahmut Masca, organized a motorcycle ride on October 29th with the slogan “From Kocatepe to Kocatepe” to commemorate the 50th anniversary of our faculty’s establishment.
The group departed from the Barış Manço Concert Area, heading first to the Atatürk House in Şuhut. Now a museum, the Hacı Veli Mansion—known as the Atatürk House—served as a headquarters during the War of Independence, where the three leaders known as the “Three Mustafas” (Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Mustafa İsmet İnönü, and Mustafa Fevzi Çakmak) reviewed final war strategies.
Following their visit, the riders traveled the same route taken by the heroic soldiers from Şuhut to Kocatepe, riding on their motorcycles. The program concluded at Kocatepe with a moment of silence and the recitation of the Turkish National Anthem.
