As part of the 50th-anniversary events of Afyon Kocatepe University (AKÜ) Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS), a technical visit to Balmahmut Marble Company was organized with the participation of third and fourth-year students from the Department of Business Administration.
The visit, conducted under the guidance of Balmahmut Marble Company owner Hatice Ayva, was attended by AFİKAD President Samiye Hancıoğlu, FEAS Vice Dean Dr. Hale Fulya Kaya, Research Assistant Yavuz Karazeybek, academic staff, and students.
Introduction to Marble Production and Technology
During this first industry tour organized in collaboration with AFİKAD, students were given detailed information about marble production processes by the company owner, Hatice Ayva. They then toured the factory to learn about the production stages and had the opportunity to observe the operation of machinery used in the process. After the tour, the company hosted a meal for the students.
The visit concluded with AFİKAD members answering students’ questions and the group taking a commemorative photo.
